Project abstract

This project was carried out by a group of bachelor students (Brecht Hurkmans, Floris van der Kolk, Charlotte De Jonghe, Jeroen van Ammers, Gijs Lagerweij, and Hsukang Chen) as their graduation project. In the project, they designed a device called “PowerLizer”, which is a power bank that can do wirelesscharging at 15 W and sterilize personal belongings such as keys, mobile phones, or face masks using UVC light. The device is able to inactivate 99.9% of the pathogenic microbes, including sars-cov2. The group has delivered well-written theses and working prototypes in 9 weeks.
